A few years ago, I was overwhelmed and close to burnout. I genuinely didn’t know where I’d find the energy to make it to the end of the year.
Life is hectic — three teenage girls, four dogs, two cats, two rats, and working for my workaholic husband! I love every bit of it, but it’s a lot.
Then my daughters took me out for a Mother’s Day treat: a crafting lunch. I’d always loved crafting as a hobby, but that day I had a real epiphany. Something about slowing down, using my hands, and focusing on one small thing in front of me — it changed how I felt, almost immediately.
I went away and researched why. It turns out there’s real science behind what we’d stumbled into that afternoon, and I realised it could help a lot of people who feel exactly how I did.
So I got to work. Months of research and development later, The Be Creative Company was born — specially curated, mindful craft kits and workshops designed to help you de-stress and reconnect with yourself.
And the best part? You don’t have to be “crafty” to benefit. You just have to show up.
